After being drugged and abused in her hotel in Mexico in 2013, she returned home to heal but she did not find the support groups she had imagined would be there....

Meg Minkley talks a lot about colour. She calls money colour coins. The world is a colour ball. She signs her email off with ‘my kind regards and colour.’ And she walks the walk as well. For the last year, the 26-year-old artist has been creating one colourful artwork a day as part of her A Drawing a Day project. We first heard Minkley’s story when it landed in our inbox with the title ‘Breaking the Taboo, a True Story’, and from there we felt compelled to sprinkle it as far and wide on the web as possible....
